The FAT string which is normally in E will come DOWN 1 and a half steps. Fine The Next string normally A comes down a half step. Fine The Next string normally D comes UP a whole step. Don't break it. Use a lighter guage maybe? The next string normally G you want in B? I suggest you get a B string which is normally the 5th string. Now the 5th string which is normally B you want in F# Whoa Dude you're all over the map now. Hmmm... use a G string which is normally the 4th string. The 6th string which is normally in E you want another B? How about another B string which is normally the 5th string. What are you doing ARE YOU CRAZY MAN?? Seriously, you are crazy. surfjunkie
boy, that's an unusual tuning. i wouldn't attempt it with standard string gauges. what song is this tuning for?
Tedster
He's playing Linkin Park. My daughter made me, er, asked me to show her a Linkin Park song. The whole guitar was tuned down a half step, with what would normally be a drop D tuning...so that'd be C#. Tedster
Oh, er, maybe not. I just noticed the C# thing and didn't look further. Well, good luck. "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
Wickerman
What's with all these nu-metal punks going drop-c? Com'n!!! Do they really think it makes them heavier? I can get plenty heavy in concert pitch and if I want to be lazy I can go DADGAD. But drop-d down a whole step??? JUDAS! Pantera, one of the heaviest bands to even step on stage only drops a half step. Sabboth (in my opinion the best metal band ever) stays in drop-d and Iommi and Rhodes were in standard tuning most of the time! Com'n!!! DROP BLOODY C!!! And what's with the damn face painted or masked bands? What happened to music?
