Marten_dup1
Is anybody out there into solo-transcribing? I'm looking for Wes, Metheny, Robben Ford, stuff like that. In notation, of course. I have a few to share. Maybe there is a website somewhere dedicated to this subject?
baronedo
Try the Guitar Tab Universe at www.guitartabs.cc/ . It's all voluntary tab stuff by players and some of the songs are not totally correct, but it is helpful. In addition, it is what I call "partial tab" format where the string/fret locations are indicated but without rhythmic values. I've found that it is okay for songs you are familiar with and good for getting lyrics, but don't take the lead tab as gosspel.
AlChuck
This is one of those things I always think I should do but I never do... ... though occsainally I will start working on playing a transcription someone else has done... Recently, I've seen a few transcriptions on Mike Stern's website: http://www.mikestern.org/tabs/ (they're labeled as "tablatures" but they are really transcriptions) and Pat Martino's website has some of his scores for some of his tunes; no solos but good stuff: http://patmartino.com/scores.htm
gtrmac
Steve Khan did a bokk of Wes's solos years ago which is a must have IMO. He has some of the material on his website: http://www.stevekhan.com/ He has some other transcriptions which will interest you too. Mac Bowne G-Clef Acoustics Ltd.
