tld
A week and a half ago I ordered a Clyde wah direct from Fulltone, and have not been able to get a tracking number from them. As it turns out, they're moving. None the less, here's the email response I got when I inquired as to what's up with my order: "stores wait 3 months, and you're crying about 3 days? Patience, your pedal is enroute, maybe even there by now. we're moving and I don't have access to your tracking. thanks," ...pretty much makes me wish I kept my money. Is this level of arrogance typical for them? Tom http://www.digitalaudiorock.com The Protools Plugin Preset Co-op
Sylver
You are paying over $200 for a Wah and they send you an email like that? I would send it back. F THAT! And I would tell them WHY I was sending it back, and I would make sure that a few phone calls got placed asking for this guy's manager. And I would tell them that I was going to spread the word, just lkike you are doing and tell everyone to NEVER buy a Full(of crap)tone product ... EVER. Man, that just pisses me off. I really don't know what to put here.
tld
Well...now that their web sites back up, and I read a bit more about them I can sort of understand the response. It's a very small very busy outfit, plus I caught them in the middle of a move which has to be hell on earth. Still could've done with out the "you're crying" stuff. Minnie The Moocher
Even if they're small and busy, I agree with Sylver, this is absolutely rude - and stupidely anti-commercial too Philippe - aka "Minnie The Moocher"- is a proud member of the Xanadu Team - visit us at www.Xanaduteam.net
tld
Just to put it in context, here's the contents of my email to which they made the above reply. A bit impatient I suppose, but still... ------- Hi, I inquired about the order below early this week was informed that it would ship this past wednesday, and that I should contact you then for a tracking number. I've emailed and left voice mail messages and have heard nothing. I even had to use a google search to find your contact page since you're redoing your web site. This order is a week and a half old and I figured I'd have it long before this weekend. What's up?? -------- Tom http://www.digitalaudiorock.com The Protools Plugin Preset Co-op
Jedi
You were in no way as rude as the the reply. However, How does that Wah sound? Rude or not if it's the sound you need get the pedal and then send them an e-mail telling them what arrogant ass-holes they are, and to change their business practices because they make really good pedals. tld
Now that my wah has arrived, just figured I should follow this up with a note in the wah iteself. This thing is awesome...last wah I'll ever have to buy. In retrospect I could have gotten the standard clyde rather than the deluxe, as I'm pretty partial to the setting that is equivilent to their standard clyde wah. Big thumbs up though. michael saulnier
Rudeness aside, you're talking about a very small company. You probably are communicating with Michael himself, not a flunkie, and typically "owners" who are going through something like a move get a bit cranky. No one should be "anti-customer", but you're more likely to get an "unvarnished" relationship with the owner of the company. On the other hand, you like the pedal... and you can probably get the personal attention of the actual designer and builder should you ever have problems. My brother had a little problem with a FullDrive II, (also highly recommended), and Michael took care of it quickly and responsively. BTW, they do sell through dealers, so if you WANT the dealer experience... you can get them that way. guitplayer I'm still "guitplayer"!
