Marso
I don't know if some of you like (or use to like) Santana but lately I was listening to "Caravanserai". What fx is he using in "Sound of the wind"? His guitar tone is very particular, not a phaser, not some chorus either. Something was going on there. Tedster
I loved that album! Haven't heard it in years...geez, not since I was doing college radio back in the late 70s. Would have to hear it again to be able to tell... "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
AlChuck
Me too... but I always thought that was Neal Schon working out on that one...
Marso
Actually, Neil S. played on Santana III. I don't think that he was on Caravaseraï. It has always been one of my favorite Santana's album. I was listening to it lately, thru headphones, funny little things going on there.(recording wise)
AlChuck
I missed noticing this before, but it's "Song of the Wind," not "Sound of the Wind." And Schon was on Caravanserai, and the writers listed for "Song of the Wind" are Rolie/Santana/Schon... Sure sounds more like Schon than like Carlos to me...
