thesanguine
I've just started using one....has anybody got any cool presets?
farrantaaol.com
Check out : www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Backstage/5648/ There are also some good links to follow. The triaxis takes ages to get to know well, it's worth persevering.....I LOVE mine and have done for years. I use it with a 290 power amp and two recto 4x12s. I also use a heartbreaker and a reissue white marshall stack. Check out mesa boogie's site www.mesaboogie.com there is or at least was a schematic of John Petrucci's touring rig there which shows what he has and how it's wired. GOOD LUCK :-)
thesanguine
Thanks for that...another Brit too. I've only just started using it and to just bolt it in a rack with the 2:90 and MPX-G2 is a bit daunting. I will persevere though and try some of those presets out. Thanks for your help
farrantaaol.com
The way I did it was to set up the rig without effects first and get the dry sounds I like, this ranged from spanky clean to rectifier higain kill type sounds. Once I had half a dozen or more useable sounds I started to add effects from a TC G-Force HOWEVER.......... even a unit as good as the TC can suck the guts out of your tone. I ended up with a Bradshaw Dual Stereo Line Mixer and run the effects in parallel with the triaxis, this way you get the whole of both sounds not half of each.
