wow, thats weird. i get to work and i find my server at home is offline!? weird. wonder if the power went out for a minute and the machine turned off. happens more than i like  what about the 7300's? i got one, it's fairly nice for the $$ i paid, but its a 200mhz 604e, no blazing speeds there. about like a p3/500 i'd say, but i plan on stuffing a g3/400 in there eventually (those are kinda quick) the old 8600 keeps chugging away, probably keep that one for a long time yet. 6 years and it still keeps up! dont get me started on that damn g4 dual 866 thing. RRR  i like the 8600 WAAAY better. about the only thing that stupid g4 does faster than the 8600 is boot, draw waveforms, and run any type of graphics app. it dont move files faster, it dont do much a nuthin 'cept make 145db of noise

No, you didn't. I wasn't aware you'd bought one. I just ran across some sweet deals on them, and remembered that you had expressed an interest, so I went back in the archives. Aurora, huh? Damn. Just miles away. Kahn, I'll get back to you in the a.m. I left the info on the PC (ahem) at work...
I've upped my standards; now, up yours.

that looks pretty good. i wonder how long it would run 3 computers with 9 drives altogether? i guess i could take my two "accesory computers" and lett'em die when the power goes out (especially the pc) or, i could set the controls to restart the mac's when the power comes back on, but when i used to do that it worked fine until one night. the power went down, up, down, up, down, up about 10 times in 30 seconds. each time the power came up the computer would try and start. i didnt like seeing that happen and turned that feature off. but that was a long time ago and hasnt happened since.
