NOT Bolt Rifles Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 I'm looking for a new 6-string for under $1000. I'm looking into a Carvin cobalt C650 for around $750 But I'm leary about buying a guitar sight unseen. Anybody had any experience with Carvin? Brakka Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 Not trying to send you away, ;) but the Guitar Forum here is great. There are Carvin users there, and also a lot of members that test-drive a lot of new guitars, including Carvins (there is a shop in LA). Look for Wickerman. Great guy.
Cowbell Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 Yep, Wickerman is the guy to go to for Carvin guitars/amps. Very nice guy. I'd like to buy a Carvin acoustic, once I get some $$.

Dak Lander Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 In the meantime, the Carvin Cobalts are very sweet. I've played quite a few different ones at the San Diego store at different times and I've never picked one up that didn't sound and play well. I played a seagull at the local sound post yesterday that was 450 out the door. Rather impressive! It felt like it had real potential with a good setup. Decisions, Decisions!
