DC
Hello all, My fav Marshall heads are I think the 'Plexi's,' anyway the ones with the same knobs as a 59' Bassman. The one channel is a tad bassy and sounds good with a strat and the other channel is absolute treble city and sounds good with a Les Paul for example. I've got a Boss GT-3, and altho I like it and find the Marshall sim useable, it just doesn't come close to capturing the Marshall treble channel sound. So my question is what about the other boards; Pod, Yammy DG, et all? Do any of em get that honking, trebley, ass end drive of a Marshall cranked up to at least 7 or 8 on the volume knob? -David http://www.garageband.com/artist/MichaelangelosMuse

Beagle1
<> Check out the Marshall JMP-1 tube preamp. The sound of the OD1 channel is 100% classic Marshall; OD2 is more like the JCM900 series. The Speaker Simulater output sounds great and is based on Groove Tubes' speaker sim technology--I much prefer it over any of the Marshall sims in my POD. I The JMP-1 can be had for pretty cheap these days on Ebay (should be able to find one for $300-400).
