I am so happy with my new computer!

i got my new computer today, three days after i bought it! ups hit the ball on this one. it came without a hard drive, but i built a system 9.1 for it on my "A" computer and swapped an extra drive into it. it fired right up and i was on my way! total build time: 20 minutes this is an old, obsolete computer which makes me love it all the more. its a 7300/200 which means its the same as my 8600 only different. it doesnt have the built in audio/video card, and its a desktop. its not a mach-five compatible motherboard either. other than that, its the same machine as the 8600. i paid $4900 for the 8600 in 1997. i paid $38.86 for the 7300 in 2003. its the same computer. it does the same thing. thats sick. yes, the 8600 is by far smoking the 7300. it has a faster drive and cpu i installed 3 years later but big deal. the 7300 is a great machine. i find this bizzare is all, im not bragging. hey, i got a $40 computer, and it kicks ass! ask me WHY i got it.

dammit geoff you are smart, and good at remembering things! yes, thats why i bought it. it boots 4 seconds faster than my 8600, bnoth machines in 9.1. odd. the 8600 has a cpu upgrade in it.

You are not crazy. I keep a stack of old Macs to run old stuff. (oldest thing in active duty is an old Nubus mac with a bunch of AMII cards and Sound Designer II and OS 7.6.1) /Mats
