Duhduh Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Ugh! It seems no matter what I do, Im getting distortion in the mix. When I solo up the drum tracks, nothing. The guitars, nothing. Etc.. But when the whole song is going, Im hearing distortion! I have checked and rechecked levels. I dont seem to be peaking anywhere! Any help will be much appreciated. Uh Clem Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 sounds like signal summing is killing you - one potato in a 20lb bag, no problem; 25lbs in a 20lb bag - maybe a problem - no one potato is to blame. does the master show clipping or full scale levels? Duhduh Posted February 11, 2003 Author Posted February 11, 2003 Hmmm...Are you asking if the master is clipping or if it is able to show if it is clipping? Jotown Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Put PT in trim mode, select all tracks, bring them all down a couple of db's. That should solve your problem. Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"
