No.........................hahaha.

Play a note on any open string . While that note is still ringing take any finger on your left hand and push it down on any fret on that string to produce the new "hammered on note". The secret is to produce no noticable silence or volume difference between the two notes.

Now try to pull your finger off in a way that that makes the original open string sound again and you have performed a pull off.

Start slowly and work on getting a repetative "hammer on-pull off" thing going, concentrating on smoothness and consistancy and you are on your way. Later , you could work the right hand in for some 80's Big Hair effect....

Or you could just check out some early Van Halen videos.

God this was a lot harder to explain than I thought it would be.

Some people have a way with words.

Other people.......umm....well........uhh......hmm.....NOT HAVE WAY !

Thanks, I think I'm beginning to understand. I found something on another site too that helped, but you're description really put things in place. I'm basically trying to impress my instructor when I go in this weekend. Good karma as always http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif
