mate stubb
XK-3 = current king of single manual Hammond clones. Has 2 sets of drawbars and extra octave for reverse color preset keys. Extremely adjustable and customizable sound parameters. XK-1 = less expensive version of XK-3, has 1 set of drawbars, less customizable parameters, no extra octave of preset keys, slightly better leslie sim, and some extra sounds of other keyboards that are forgettable. XK-2 = previous generation of Hammond clones, not as good as current generation. Leslie sim is noticeably worse, chorus vib is too. mr_mez
Hi there, Simple: XK1 - current 'no frills' Hammond clonewheel based on VASE III sound engine like the XK3. Superior leslie effect over XK3 and additional non-organ sounds (not so great). I have one and can vouch for the fact that it rocks! XK2 - previous flagship Hammond clonewheel based on VASE II technology. XK3 - current flagship Hammond clonewheel based on VASE III sound engine. 'Real' tube pre-amp and dual manual XK system capabilities. I won't post a lengthy response here as there have already been many, try searching for XK1/2/3. Merry Xmas! b3_john
The XK-3 is also expandable into a system with an optional second manual. John GP sacred cow of the year: Jimmy Vaughan
