sign Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 The Compact Disc Digital Audio System offers the best possible sound reproduction-on a small, convenient sound carrier unit. The Compact disc's superior performance is the result of....bla bla and more , in the Philips CD booklet. I borrowed a box with the nine symphonies of Beethoven, played by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Conducted by the famous Bernard Haitink and recorded in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. DDD......this is one of the best orchestra's on the planet, one of the best conductors and probably the best sounding hall for classical orchestra music. And guess how it sounds? Flat, no air, no space, no dimension, no width, no fore and background, it sounds pretty bad. I happen to love music, sorry for ranting. Gulliver Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Hey sign, after which of the symphonies music started to sound flat for you? ;) I am back.
