Mark Borland Posted February 5, 2003 Posted February 5, 2003 Guys and Gals I am new to recording and seem to have hit a bit of a problem that you could maybe help me with. I have recently bought a Line6 Guitar port. It is set up and works fine to play through, however when I record I find the recording level really low. The settings on each of the amp simulators is set to a good level and I have made sure that my line in setups on the PC are set to a good level and the line6 external volume master is cranked to the max however the wave files are tiny and I have to perform destructive edits to increase the volume and as a result loose quality. Increasing the master software volume on the ampsim software increases the volume but then I loose the rest of the track in the monitors when I am recording. I am recording using Cakewalk Guitar tracks Pro. I have 3 three other sound cards in my machine (Yamaha sw1000 xg, onboard Wavetable card and SoundBlaster Extigy) and have no level problems on these cards if I record through them. I have the same problem with SONAR and can't get the damn thing to work in Cubase but that is another problem? Any ideas would be gratefully accepted. Thanks Mark Borland Growing old is inevitable....Growing up is optional !
Salyphus Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 Unfortunately I don't know anything about the GuitarPort. Perhaps someone else here does?
