JDL Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 Well, ok, this isn't evil stuff, but some people are. Whats the deal with these people? What's their problem? Take em all to jail! Here's a non-evil person selling COLUMBIA COINS This has been discussed in some threads, but haven't seen a thread of its own in it, or is there? So, your thoughts............... JDL on Purevolume Bird\'s Eye View on Purevolume
Midimonk Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 These people(thats giving them credit) are lame excuse's for human beings. It's really sad that someone would want to profit off of a tragedy.Jail's a waste of taxpayers money,i say strip them of their "citizenship" and haul off to the taliban. I cannot be bought, and I cannot be threatened. But if you put them both together then I'm your man!"
Jotown Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 For many humans it's all about the benjamins'. Greed is a sad thing. Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"
D. Gauss Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 ah, sell whatever you want. it's the people that buy this shit that scare me....... -d. gauss
Rick K. Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 I saw this and was deeply saddened. I went to Ebay and started looking at the recent auctions. Lots of people are going to make some real money from this. Sucks. Rick
Mark Zeger Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 Someone is selling a large portion of a space shuttle tail section, not from the Challenger disaster. How the hell do you own such a thing?
tnb Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 I heard about the scumbags selling pieces of the shuttle, but I haven't gone and looked. Is it legal? Doesn't it qualify as government property?

To put a lighter, musical spin on this, this entire thread vaguely reminds me of this article.
loudist Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 Hold on... this isn't shuttle debris. Its a collectable coin set from the Franklin mint. Your thread title and comments are misleading.
BP3 Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 Much shuttle stuff on eBay is very legit. I'm sure eBay and the NASA are on top of any debris auctions.

I'm just talking about the stuff they're selling, I don't know how misleading this could make a person feel, when everyone else knows what I'm talking about. Oh, yeah, of course, this is just SPAM. Lee Tyler Posted February 5, 2003 Posted February 5, 2003 The authorities are calling the debris "contaminated" to keep the souvenier hunters paws off of the wreckage. Most of this stuff is cooked, torn, and "well done". I liked the way the Pres gave a hankie to a child of one of the fallen astronauts who was sobbing during the memorial proceedings today. Very touching, regardless of ones political bent. Very sad tragedy. Yes, Lee, I defitnitly agree. Today, I heard someone ask "Why are these people so important? I mean, people die everyday in car crashes!" And someone else said "Well, this is because these people were some of the smartest people on the planet." Sorry, just had to put that in, a little interesting.
