A Forum Feature Seems Broken

Recommended Posts

(Please note: Most of you know me as soapbox, but this post is under my real name.) You know how after hitting the "Add Reply" button, a page comes up that reads, "Processing... Thanks for posting! Sit tight... We are taking you back to: (forum name)?" Well for days now, the software has failed to take me back to the forum in which I posted. The page I described just stays as is until I click on the link under the forum's name. Is this happening to anyone else? If so, to whom do we report this? Obviously, it's not a big deal to just click on the link. Even so, it would be nice to get this minor problem fixed. Best, Geoff

Actually I have had the same problem, and it has happened before. Also, sometimes the back button will take me to a version of the thread from weeks ago. Not sure why, but you are not alone in this.

I've not noticed that, though response is slow (note time of this post). What I have noticed for some time is that the search function operates very erratically. Multible listings of the same item, no record of some posts (or posters by #), a few posts shown when there are known to be many...that sort of thing. BTW, Geoff, are you only known as GC now, no more "Soapbox"?
Originally posted by george costanza: BTW, Geoff, are you only known as GC now, no more "Soapbox"?
George, I'm keeping the soapbox name in reserve in case I want to return to using it; but I want to make sure that everyone knows me by my real name as well. When I met other forum members at the recent Winter NAMM Show and at the AES show last October, many of them would act as if they were being introduced to a stranger. Then someone would add, "Geoff is soapbox on the forums" and I could see the light of recognition appear on their faces. While it was nice to realize that my soapbox name is well known here, I wished that people would know me as Geoff as well. So here I am posting as myself, and I'm enjoying it. Best, Geoff
