Matt.Hepworth
Holy cow, have you ever seen a more stupid, more terribly done commercial?!?! And the 'actors' - probably the ugliest people I've seen in a long time. I want to burn my Levi's now. No matter how good something is, there will always be someone blasting away on a forum somewhere about how much they hate it.
whitefang
Was kinda GLAD to see the ugly models, man. I can relate to them better than the "chippendales" usually used. So can probably 90% of consumers! But of course, it didn't make the commercial any less stupid, eh? Whitefang I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left! Tedster
Haven't seen it. But, I do approve of "normal" John Lovitzes and Danny DeVitos rather than all of the "Beautiful People". "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
Matt.Hepworth
They should not be considered normal. Well, unless Levi's is just making fun of models! ;) That would rule. Highly unlikely though. Normal people should look like normal people, not ugly models IMHO. midispaceho
They should have been trampled. Market the new button fly blood stained jeans. Heeeeeere kitty kitty kitty
Ultravibe
Apparently, it was made by the daughter of a friend of my soon-to-be-mother-in-law. She pointed it out specifically during the Super Bowl... And it isn't that they are just not attractive people. It's like they were trying to find people that closely resemble models, but for whatever reason they just look weird and unnattractive, rather than model-like. And the commercial sucks, too. fantasticsound
We were just deriding this commercial again tonight. The only redeeming value of it is my 4 year old likes watching the Bison stampede. :D It left me wondering, "Why?" I don't think it will sell the Levi's-attempts-to-be-Jordache-25-years-too-late jeans, and, so far, no one I know likes the...er.. artistic statement either. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Felix_dup1
The fact that we all remember it, are discussing it, and that we remember it was for Levis means it did its job - especially if some of the people who saw it buy Levis jeans. Simply being discussed in the wake of the Superbowl. Had it not been thrust into that spotlight, I highly doubt anyone would have given it a second thought. And as I mentioned, my opinion is it isn't going to sell jeans. It'll be scrapped after this quarter is up. They won't want to spend any more money on residuals for this dog. thisDude
Very reminiscent of an Unkle music video (featuring Thom York of Radiohead). Not as good though...

Mark Zeger
Levi's had a least one recent Super Bowl spot that was outstanding. It featured a guy walking with "crazy legs" moving all over the place, but his upper body moved calmly. The buffalo stampede spot was really disappointing. Then again, there were no truly amazing spots this year. Even the Bud spot with the zebra would not have been as strong if not for the blown calls in recent games. The spot was created in early fall before the officiating controversies occurred.
Jeff Klopmeyer
I don't really care about the attractiveness of the models, and I didn't really feel that the stampede theme of the commercial was particularly effective. But I will say this: those are some ugly-ass jeans. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
