Alndln
Since I'm up real late Sat. Nights,I woke up around the 4th quarter with 5 min to go and more or less occasionly glanced while I nursed my hangover with black coffee.I didn't even pay it that much mind until Bon Jovi came on.2 notes into it the channel was quickly changed.I lost interest in Sports long ago,and never had any in Bon Jovi. sbrock1san.rr.com
NFL football looks like the same game today as it was 20 years ago, except for maybe instant replay. What's the problem with the money the athletes, teams, or TV networks are making, that all seems pretty invisible to me. I also love the parity that is in football these days. There aren't as many blow-outs as in years past and just about any team can get into the playoffs if they finish the season strong. :thu: I will admit that the Australian Open tennis over the weekend was more entertaining than the SuperBowl for me. Jeff Leites
Here's a twist, my wife is the sports nut in our family. She was glued to the tube, and exchanging email comments with her co-workers between quarters. I watched movies and noodled with my guitar in the other room. Mats Olsson.
I've got cable but have not signed up for the right channel. I'm not very much into sports but I enjoy american football, a game that is not televised much over here. And also the time difference makes it kind of hard to enjoy a game that ends somewhere 'round 4am on a monday morning.... /Mats http://www.lexam.net/peter/carnut/man.gif What do we want? Salyphus
Watching sports to me is like watching sex (porn). I'm not interested in watching other people, I'd rather just go do it myself :p --- On the other hand, if I am going to watch sports it's going to be something like soccer where they aren't just standing around most of the game. thisDude
Even though I'm a Bucs fan, I had been up for about 30 hours so I fell asleep at halftime. Did anyone else notice a Canadian singing America's National Anthem and another one performing at halftime? I wonder how many political strings were pulled to get that line-up, considering the tensions over that friendly fire mis-hap. I also thought it was ironic that during Celine's performance, there was supposed to be a jet fly-over, but ABC botched the production, so you didn't really get to see it. At least this time, it wasn't the pilots' fault. Nationalism on a small scale... gotta love it.

Chip McDonald
Boring. Why don't they change the rules already? It seems like it's sooooo slow compared to watching it as a kid. Not that I watched it, I don't even know who was in it. Or care. I'll start watching tv again when F1 season starts up. Paul Berolzheimer
Commercialized televised sports like that are just designed to keep our minds & eneergies off of things that actually effect our lives, like our corrupt illegally appointed administration and their attacks on the environment we live in, our civil rights, their greedy oil grabbing foriegn policy, the economy, etc. etc. etc. I spent the day playing with a bunch of kids, it was great.
