Hey all! Hi. I'm Rev and I'm new here. I play guitar and sing in my band called RockNRev. (You can check us out at www.rocknrev.com if you want) I just added a fun little area to the site that I thought you might be interested in. It's a place for all the "guitar egos" to clash and battle it out. Wanna have some fun? check it out at www.rocknrev.com/battle (I started it off with a little riff I recorded at home on my computer. It's called "One String". It's called that because I played the whole tune on a guitar with only one string on it. Got something more interesting than that? Submit it! (Your riffs should be "home recorded" to keep things fair. Anyone can record at home!) It's all free and anonymous as you want it to be. there are no strings. This is not a business web site. It's a personal web site. I'm just the new guy and I want to invite you all over to my place to hang out and have a little fun. Glad to be here at the guitarplayer.com forums. I look forward to meeting all of you one by one. I'll be around a lot. Contact me if I haven't contacted you yet! Peace, Rev

Doing what? Introducing myself? I did it in the two places on this board that were appropriate. You are the very first reply. So far...I feel so welcomed.

Sometimes people don't like it if you have a web site that appears like you are promoting, although no one seems to mind if you have a small blurb contained in your signature at the bottom of the post. It doesn't sound like you are spamming this all over the place, a tactic that is sure to raise hackles on people in most any forum. It sounds like a pretty cool idea (your site, that is), so good luck with it!
