Nawor Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 At 9AM here this morning it was 90 degrees. At 11AM it's nearly 100. Forecast to day is 43 degrees celsius (nearly 110 farenheit) my PC has already shut down twice due to the heat. My dogs gone under the house and dug himself a 'nest'. Still very smokey due to the fires in the state. North wind is picking up and they still haven't caught the fire bug whose lit ten fires near here in the past two weeks. I'm going to find some cool water under a shady tree to sit in! "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!
patrick_dont_fret Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 Wow, that blows. I was in New Mexico this summer and not too distantly, the fires were burning uncontrollably. Luckily they didn't come our way, or we would have been even more hot.
BNC Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 Rowan- feel free to come to Oklahoma, its about 10F right now.
Kooky Mogessi Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 You can come to Indiana if you want. The last 2 mornings the wind chill has been around -25F. Nawor Posted January 25, 2003 Author Posted January 25, 2003 We just had our hottest day here in Melbourne for sixty years... 44.3 celsius or 112 degrees farenheit! In three seperate incidents cars had to be broken into to retrieve young dehydrated children whose parents had left them inside! What idiots!! Mmmm... I think it's beer'o'clock! :) "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!

Sp3nc3r Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 If it's too hot, c'mmon over to St.John's with me and Bonedog. We just got nailed with another 30+cm of snow; shattering records :thu: , cancelling recording sessions  , and giving people shovel-induced heart attacks  . We now have well over 300 cm of snow since the end of November...... Funny, eh? Cheers! Spencer "I prefer to beat my opponents the old-fashioned way....BRUTALLY!!!!"
phaeton Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 I know that nearly everyone says otherwise, but i find hot weather easier to deal with than cold weather. Maybe i should go live in Australia, if they'd let me in. Or SoCal. It appears right now to be 80F there, sunny, with palm trees, cacti, and chicks. Such the life :o ) I hear that the weather in San Diego is so consistently perfect that it's almost boring. Wow. Here i've been seeing "Today, we should see a high of 5F" so often i'm rather tired of it. Dr. Seuss: The Original White Rapper . WWND?

That sort of behaviour makes me MAD! Anyway, here on Saturday (in NW Victoria) in our town it hit a top of 45C. One of our friends has a thermometer that hit 48C in town!! TOO HOT!!!! Hope it cools down for the Big Day Out tomorrow!!
