Salyphus Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 I think Slayer is the only interesting band you mentioned ;) In fact, they kinda remind me of CCR :D

You can keep it for years with the lid removed, exposed to all the flies, bugs and bacteria you could possibly imagine and it never tastes any different! ;) Maybe the troops in the Gulf could smear it all over themselves to repel any kind of chemical or biological attack... maybe someone could infiltrate Saddams inner sanctum and inject him with a dose of vegemite... hmmm they could all be home in time for St Valentines Day! Ever tried a vegemite milkshake?... Mmmmm YUM!! :freak: BTW it's spelt vegemite NOT vegamite. "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!
Dan South Posted January 25, 2003 Author Posted January 25, 2003 So, Rowan, Are you "from Brussels/Six-foot four and full of muscles?" :D Oh, by the way, what exactly do men do then they "chunder?" The Black Knight always triumphs!
Bunny Knutson Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 WHY??? Why, oh, why? Why-why-why-why-why-why-why-why?????? Please. Kill me now. Take a rusty baseball bat and whack me REALLY good upside the head! 'Til my brains fall out and splatter on the pavement. Then jump on my brains. Then shoot me. Then run over me with a Mack truck. Then shoot me a couple more times. Then burn what's left of me, and sweep the ashes into the gutter. W H Y ? ? ? :freak: :D https://bunny.bandcamp.com/ https://theystolemycrayon.bandcamp.com/

Gtoledo3 Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 I kinda have a soft spot in my heart for some of that stuff! They just went too far in one direction though... The one song I really hated was that "Round and Round"! Want mix/tracking feedback? Checkout "The Fade"- www.grand-designs.cc/mmforum/index.php The soon-to-be home of the "12 Bar-Blues Project"

It usually occurs after a prolonged bout of 'pissing up' (drinking beer). Go here for an online Aussie slang dictionary... http://www.koalanet.com.au/australian-slang.html There was an Australian movie made in the seventies called the "Adventures of Barry McKenzie" it was about an 'ocker' (classic stereotyped Australian) who went to London. It's quite a silly movie but full of extreme Australian slang. During one scene he goes to an exclusive restaurant... Waiter: "How would you like your steak sir?" McKenzie: "Aaah knock of its horns, wipe its arse and shove it on the plate mate!" I think he meant 'rare'! ;) "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!
G. Ratte Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 >Bon Jovi or Poison? I'll abstain. Though Poison was wacky, and Bon Jovi too self-serious, so Poison gets the nod. They actually did a really good song recently, "I Hate Every Bone In Your Body But Mine." >Ratt or Quiot Riot? Ratt! Ratt is awesome, Warren DiMartini was a big guitar idol for a while back then. Killer power-pop tunes, can't mess with Ratt. I would postulate that they were the best of all the LA hair bands, by far. >Whitesnake or the Scorpions? Scorpions. They rang the doorbell and said, "Here I am! Rock you like a hurricane!" And I said, "I didn't order any rocking, you must have the wrong address." >Dokken or Slayer? Slayer. Duh. Or is that a trick question? Is this some weird Freudian thing? "Do Ken or slay her [Barbie]?" >Guns 'n' Roses or Motley Crue? Crue, since _Shout at the Devil_ is wonderful and Axl is such a puss. Thought everything after it was pretty cornball, late Aerosmith-y. G. Ratte' http://www.cultdeadcow.com
surfmonkey Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 Poison. They had the most naked chicks on their Behind The Music episode. :thu: :thu: Def Leppard comes in second. I have no homepage.

Randyland Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 Maybe it was because I was a keyboardist at the time, but back in those days I thought Europe was the best (yeah, I know I'm gonna hear about THIS for awhile)....
Dan South Posted January 26, 2003 Author Posted January 26, 2003
Originally posted by GT3: The one song I really hated was that "Round and Round"!
I used to think that Ratt's lead singer looked kind of like a rock version of the prince formerly known as an artist. Geez, now I've got Round and Round playing in my head. Thanks a lot! :D The Black Knight always triumphs!
deanmass Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 Errr... Maybe I am taking this too seriously, but.... POISON is on my 'crashes into mountainside in flames death plane" of bands I HATE... Bon Jovi, though not a fave, is WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY better... Guess my 80's roots are showing
offramp Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 Bon Jovi over any of 'em. I've upped my standards; now, up yours.

Gato Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 Bon Jovi :thu: . Did you see the Gibson L-5s that Sambora uses in their last video "misundertanding". Wow ¡¡¡
deanmass Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 Ok... So circa somewhere in the 80's, I got a free ticket to a Bon Jovi concert. I di dnot want to go, especially since Cinderella was the opening act.Well, guess what? Cinderella were not bad..And Bon Jovi flat out played his ass off. At the end of the show, the Cinderella guys came back out and they did some covers, with like 5 guitars...Then...Ted showed up (Nuge)...They ALL were jamming Strnaglehold and variious other rock standards...To date, one of the most entertaining shows I have seen. I am just not picturing Poison as anything other than Hair Rock's Milli Vanilli...
whitefang Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 I'm convinced, with the exception of Bon Jovi, that the rest of them are all the same group using different names to rake in more cash! Whitefang I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left!

stunningchap Posted January 27, 2003 Posted January 27, 2003 So you know nothing about music, I see Early scops with ulrich roth or michael schenker is classed with hendrix, jethro tull, mahogany rush and zepplin Hey maybe you were the guy BUYING dances at the strip club while I was doing dope with the girls back stage-trick Thats right- I had a glam act (darn pretty to) we used to play shows with mother love bone, nasty habits, alice in chains and everyone was glam at the time-giant hair, major make-up, gutter style music-doing beastie boys, nwa, mott the hoople and too short covers and F$%^&ing heavy originals. All these 3 singers have since died, besides me- but only because I choose to shoot speed and listen to slayer rather than the other option. you probably have a nice neat little CD collection that reflects your intelligence level. sit down or ill have rob halford come and b*&ch slap you
