Jotown Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Thats right. Jerry Springer is considering running for the US Senate. He was once the Mayor of Cinncinati Ohio, so I guess it's not too far fetched. Heres the link: http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Entertainment/ap20030123_1506.html What do you think? Botch. Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 If Trent Lott, Orrin Hatch, D. Byrd, H. R. Clinton, on and on and on, can, why not? We celebrated the falling of the Evil Soviet Empire about a decade ago, it pretty much collapsed from within. Can we be that much far behind?? :( Botch "Eccentric language often is symptomatic of peculiar thinking" - George Will www.puddlestone.net

BNC Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Maybe the rest of the senetors will club him with chairs...hopefully. ;)
remainanon Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Sorry, I really think the US Senate is beneath him. Is he slumming? Doing research for another show? The mind boggles. JW
KHAN Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 IF 1. He's not running in New York, AND 2. It gets him off my TV. Then I hope he wins. :D So Many Drummers. So Little Time...

Dan South Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Well, the just got rid of Jim Trafficant, so I suppose that the Ohio voters feel the need to elect another tasteless opportunist. :D The Black Knight always triumphs!
Alndln Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Almost forgot, this guy actually became Governer of Minnasota "A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"
Dan South Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Mmm, yeah, but despite the clothes that he wore during his Liberace period, this Governor dude served his country as a Navy SEAL. Anyone else here man enough to be a SEAL? The Black Knight always triumphs!
Matt.Hepworth Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Good, just what we need another publicity stunt running for office. 10 posts to go... No matter how good something is, there will always be someone blasting away on a forum somewhere about how much they hate it.

Nawor Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 See what you've done now?!! Saddam's controlling Jerry's mind via satellite and is about to unleash him against his own countrymen... Benny Hinn's next on the list followed by Fabio, Ozzie Osborne and Michael Jackon's nose! Be afraid!... Be VERY AFRAID!! :D BTW... did I say MIND?!! Hmmm that rules out Ozzie... too many dropped packets!! ;) "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!
Nawor Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Hmmm... Just think, fifteen minutes of fame and I could maybe run for Secretary of the 'Upper Kabunga' musical toilet roll society!! YES!!... OH YES!! :thu: :D "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!
Mats Olsson. Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Not that mental capacity seem to matter very much anymore but the problem with Ozzy is that he is Brittish, so he doesn't qualify (yet). /Mats http://www.lexam.net/peter/carnut/man.gif What do we want? offramp Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Would Jerry be allowed to deliver his closing thoughts at the end of each session? Would he expose the love triangles between Senators and aides? Would Bouncer Steve be able to go, too? "Coming up on Springer: 'I Just Found Out My Senator had a sex-change!' " I've upped my standards; now, up yours.
Groovepusher Sly Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 Anybody who sings Country can't be all bad! (Jerry)Springer, (Sean)Combs, and (Andre) Young for Senate Yeah! Sly  Whasineva ehaiz, ehissgot ta be Funky!

Wow Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 I have come to the conclusion that after the fall of the S.U. in the late 80's , the U.S. has been invaded by the fallout. We are under attack by the COMMUNIST(rally last Saturday). If you don't believe me, then look at the assault the ACLU has put upon (everything). Liberalism looks good, but once you look further, the progressive attitude is bleak at most.

RangerJay Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 Who's to say that he will be any better/worse that what's in there? I think that he might be just a bit rebellious, and try to subvert the current corporate lobbying process that has taken over politics in the past 20 years.
