In ear monitoring

Hi there!

I am thinking about switching to wired in ear monitoring. What are your experiences about certain models of body packs, earphones and ways of routing and connecting that kind of system?

Thanks!

There was a big discussion about this, I think in the bass forum. Search for it and it will save a lot of time. The main and overwhelming thing to remember though, is do not try to work with one plug in and one plug out. That will cost you your hearing.

Here is a long discussion at the other forum. I ended up using my in ears out of the headphone jack of my mixer with a small lavalier mic to pick up the stage volume. Not state-of-the-art, but self-contained for any situation and functional.
