Alndln Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 Using and mixing "cheap ram" is more trouble than it's worth. At least you got the right idea by not wanting to pay $$$ for it,but you will pay for it with time and hair strands. "A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"
Jotosuds Posted January 22, 2003 Author Posted January 22, 2003 yeah, i'm just getting used to how computers work and stuff. i guess $9.00 isn't too much for 64mb of ram. i think i'll just buy some. oh well. thanks anyways!!

What a martyr you are! :D When I was a lad (start old-timey banjo music playing here), RAM wasn't so easily obtained. An 8MB stick cost several hundred dollars. When it hit as low as a buck per meg, everyone thought they'd died and gone to heaven. You kids and your cheap RAM...you don't know how lucky you are. When I was on my way to school, walking through the snow uphill in both directions, I dreamed of the day that I'd get RAM for so little. Oh, wait...I didn't have a computer in my home then. No one did. And the TV only had thirteen channels. And we had no remote! No remote, I tell ya! And I had to do terrible things, like math. And when I made music, it was with a guitar or a piano! Whew! I know this qualifies as child abuse today, but that's just the way things were back in the '70s. :) - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Mats Olsson. Posted January 22, 2003 Posted January 22, 2003 When I was a child, we had black and white TV. A remote was unheard of. In those days computers (the 10 or so that existed on the planet) had tubes. And RAM was a car. Kids today! /Mats http://www.lexam.net/peter/carnut/man.gif What do we want? Procrastination! When do we want it? Later!
