Nytrix Posted January 19, 2003 Posted January 19, 2003 Can anyone recommend a GOOD place/person where I can get a song mastered. I would give them a .WAV file and they would MASTER it and give me back a .WAV file. By MASTERING I don't mean someone that'll take 60 seconds to run it through a "volume maximizer" then give it back to me (with him not having listened to it back and discovering there's distortion in a few places in the song - rendering the finished product useless to me). I mean someone professional that'll make the song "be the most it can be" (audio wise) ... which would include volume maximizing, eq'ing, stereo expansion, compression, limiting - whatever is required. A PRO dude! Thank you for any help.
Chaz Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 I am a mastering engineer and would be more than happy to help. Haven Music Productions Tampa, FL www DOT havenmp DOT com

Frank Zappa's response -- "So, with your wooden leg, I guess that makes you a table." http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=2001&alid=-1
Anon-a-Monster Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 Why don't you have a 'Master Fest' not unlike the mixfest that just concluded?
Soundscape Studios. Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 I just finished mastering an album with Alan Silverman at Arf! Digital in NYC. He is a highly respected mastering engineer who has numerous Grammy winning albums to his credit. If you need info I can hook you up.
20to20 Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 Nytrix, I don't want to step on Chaz's [or anybody else's] toes, but... I would also be happy to talk to you about mastering your project... ;) Respectfully, Bob Phillips 20to20soundesign
