Nils Salthe Helberg
The last few months I've been quite hung up in the great classic rockband called "The Band". The album called "The Band" is really great. And two weeks ago my brother introduced me to "the last waltz" when I borrowed his copy of the film. I'm wondering if anybody knows what synthezisers the keyboardist used besides of the Organ and Clavinet. I think I saw a Moog but I saw something with a roland-logo on it as well. Favorite the band track: The night they drove the old dixie down. Korg Triton LE 61 Novation KS5 Native Instruments B4II Medion Laptop computer M-audio Audiophile USB interface. Analogaddict
IIRC, it's a JP4...
synthizen2
No! Not a JP4. Last Waltz came out in 1976, JP4 synth came out in 1978. I watched that film a few months ago and was trying to make out the synth he had bridged between his organ and another keyboard. To me it looked very much like a Moog Satellite (in fact the Moog logo was quite visible). And probably the Roland synth was one of their string synths from that period (RS-202 perhaps?)
