Alndln Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 You know the type, they'll sing, dance, tell jokes or do anything to keep in front of a camera, but have no real talent or job description.Guy's like Arsenio Or remember Jon Davidson? I'm sure others can think of even more no-talent con-artists like this.Come on people, make me laugh! :D "A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"
Jotown Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 That Gerri chick from survivor, she's on some new show now with M.C. Hammer, Emanuel Lewis, Corey Feldman, hey I just named four of them for you. :D Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"

Wewus432 Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Ths most dubious celebrity in the world has got to be Kato Kaelin. He's famous because he lived with a famous person who murdered someone, whoops excuse me, was accused of murder.

tnb Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 The 2000's will be remembered as the loser decade. At least I hope it will be.

Botch. Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 They used to put all these people on "Hollywood Squares", where do they put them now? (I don't watch much TV) Botch "Eccentric language often is symptomatic of peculiar thinking" - George Will www.puddlestone.net
Gabriel E. Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 George Hamilton Gza Gza Gabor John Stamos All famous for being famous. Here's a question: Where does all their money come from? "You never can vouch for your own consciousness." - Norman Mailer

Kinda depressing when you think that we only got about 97 more years of the 2,000's to go.Yeah, things'll be better in the year 3000,can't wait.
Or maybe the 2100's? When we get to 2120, do we start calling it the 20's again? Or maybe the 2k20's to differentiate from the roaring 20's? I should take my act on the road! With material like this, I could be the next Jon Davidson! Andrew Mazzocchi
Ultravibe Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Actually, thinking about it, the most annoying of people like this are the royals. Prince Charles, Andrew, the Queen. They are famous because of birth and/or marriage. No talent, no reason to be even looked at, much less scrutinized and revered. At least Diana and Fergie tried to do more than just hang out and be royal - causes, books, etc. The rest of the royal family should be locked away and forgotten. Andrew Mazzocchi
george costanza Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Coaster, Wewus...Jeebus....& me, too!
whitefang Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 I have to go along with Ultravibe. And I don't want to sound like I have some kind of adgenda here, but super models belong in this group. What the fuck are they famous FOR? Wearing someone else's clothes? Gimmie a break. And I loved Jay Leno's joke about the TV show "Celebrity Mole". ..."Forget who the MOLE is. I had trouble figuring out who the CELEBRITY is!" Whitefang I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left!

"A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"
Alndln Posted January 17, 2003 Author Posted January 17, 2003 Which reminds me,I think "Fabio" wins the prize for absolutley no job description or talent for anything whatsoever,he's just "there",or something. "A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"
patrick_dont_fret Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 No talent? Let's see...the latest string of MTV kids, for one. That's more than one, though. The last string of MTV kids, for another. Hmmm, ah yes, President Bush, well, all presidents for that matter. Hey, even all world leaders, really. Hmmmm, oh, and Keanu Reeves...no talent there...
Dan South Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Hmm. It must be difficult to be a minor celebrity. People expect you to be rich and living large, when you're actually scraping to make ends meet (can you say, "Hollywood Squares?") Then again, there are those infamous non-celebrities like Fawn Hall, Linda Tripp, and that guy from Who Wants To Marry A Multi-Millionaire? Eek! The world needs these people like Woody Allen needs another stepdaughter. The Black Knight always triumphs!
Wewus432 Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Speaking of bullshit, I got in last night about 9:00 and flipped on the tv and there was a guy having an eating contest against a bear to see who could eat the most hot dogs, and then there was a Sumo wrestler having a tug of war with an orangatang. That sounds like something I would make up but it was a new program called Man Against Beast. Maaaaaaaaan, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel for programming material. Then there's that show Joe Millionaire. Since when is it ok to lie to people and play games with their lives for entertainment purposes? That is seriously screwed up. I hate all those reality shows now. The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, etc. Don't those people have any respect for themselves? I think that whole genre and the people who have achieved fame from it are pathetic and those people are truly fake celebrities
Alndln Posted January 17, 2003 Author Posted January 17, 2003
Originally posted by TheWewus: those people are truly fake celebrities
I guess if MR.T played guitar like Hendrix or something I would probably have a different image of him with all the chains and everything, but then again if Fabio played guitar like Hendrix I probably couldn't stop laughing, not that I'm not anyway.Weren't there a whole bunch of 80's metal bands who all lokked like Fabio(Panterea/Whitesnake ect.)? :D "A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"
patrick_dont_fret Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003
Originally posted by Alndln Hammer: Weren't there a whole bunch of 80's metal bands who all lokked like Fabio(Panterea/Whitesnake ect.)? :D
Nelson...yeah, I remember those terrible days...truly remarkable they'd let such people be famous.
BNC Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 I love how they call these 'reality shows'. I don't know about you guys, but my average day starts off with a wrestling contest with a variety of animals, then moves to eating the most disgusting parts of said animals, then I go to France and tell a bunch of goldiggers that I'm a millionaire, then I make them shovel the waste from the animals that I ate that morning, then before bed, I go off to an exotic island and beat the snot out of Paula Jones (ok, that wouldn't be so bad ;) ). Maybe tomorrow me, joe millionaire, and mr T could tag team Kato, Fabio, and gilbert godfrey... :p
Wewus432 Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 You can tell Kato Kaelin is embarassed about being famous. He has a look on his face that says, yeah I know I'm a poser, but I'll take your money anyway. I think he's an actor but he'll never get any good parts because he's permanently stereotyped as O.J's poser friend.
Skip_dup1 Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 I just read an article about that `Joe Millionaire` crap. The nerve of these people. I used to think, well I turn on the T.V. at 8 p.m. and there`s nothing but people dancing in green giraffe suits, and dramas with people standing around looking anguished. But this is Asia. Now things stateside are sounding worse...
patrick_dont_fret Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Yeah skip, things are turning to crap over here. I'd love to go over to Asia sometime, especially with my girlfriend. Of course, they left Vietnam for a reason, so...

I would love to see Darva get her butt kicked, especially after she pummeled Olga Corbut who was half her size. She acted like she was a bad ass, and poor Olga actually had something to be famous for. Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"

I pity the fool who don't like Mr. T! He loves his mamma, and that makes him alright in my book! You can say what you want about Fabian(er, Fabio), but I'll always have fond memories of his popular "I can't believe it's not butter" commercials, and especially for his roller coaster incident -pure genius on ANY level!!!
