BForrester
Help, my Proteus 2000 LCD(?) screen is no longer viewable no matter what viewing angle I set it at. Is this replaceable by lowly consumers like me? Where do I get the part? BTW, it apparently was left on for an extended period of time. Perhaps it is burn-in from this. I'm wondering if the backlight were disabled if the characters would be more decipherable.
K K
Although many synths use standard LCD parts that you can find in electronics stores, you still need to have good basics or some experience in electronics, mainly soldering small components, that kind of stuff. Otherwise, you might do more damage than good and it's best to send your synth at the local music shop.
DanS
You could always try firing off an email to Emu and see if they can send you another one, or at least find out the brand, p/n, equivalent etc. What we record in life, echoes in eternity.
