Tom Fiala
Orlando.....hey, me too! Where are you at (specifically), and which band(s) do you play in? Are you mainly guitar or keys? Can't help you with the Cs-60, but the Arturia CS-80 soft synth is pretty good, lightweight, and doesn't need constant tuning! Welcome to the forum. Tom F. "It is what it is." POLS
Hey Tom, Thanks for your reply...Not in a band at the moment..I mainly play drums..also guitar...I started with keys back in the 80's and thought I need to get back to it....but drums and guitar still my main instruments.... Are you playing in a band? I am by the Dr. Philips area... Thanks for the welcome... Where are you in Orlando? Hehehehehe yes I am...but you're not that far from me either...I've seen you in just about any imaginable keyboard forum I could think of cool... I guess this is the only way I might be able to get one. I talked to Uro and since he has his recording plus moving we are going to continue with the deal on January since he will have more time to do this. He is a very cool guy, very knowledgable, just like you) and did I mentioned he have a great rig....After he finish his recording I want to hear a sample of all of those great toys.....including the Chroma... Take care Tom..... lewis sego
I am the original owner of a working cs-60 I bought brand new in 1978, and i admit it is awesome fun especially due to the ribbon controller that is useful for sonic dives and van halen tap's. The sustain 2 mode is extremely cool as notes played sustain untill next note played...makes for awesome solo's lewissego@yahoo.com faithnation.com
Mark Schmieder
That was a slightly dumbed-down version of the CS-80 to make it more affordable, right? Although like the entire CS-series, it probably had a few unique attributes. There was someone selling a Yamaha CS-60 on local Craigslist in Santa Cruz CA a few weeks back. Not sure if it's still available. It was cross-posted so showed up on the Bay Area Craigslist (or maybe Santa Cruz is considered part of that region). lewis sego
I do, and I have to admit that even though I own 16 other newer boards including a Yamaha es8 Motif (the mother ship) none of them have the cool ribbon controller or the sustain II function that make the CS60 so fun. Lewissego@yahoo.com you can hear the instrument used on the ordinary people disk, see Faithnation.com
