skier4467
'm ready to invest in a new keyboard. Someday I want to play rock, funk, blues, jazz, pop in a band and do home-studio recordings. Should I get the Casio Privia 310 for $600 and have 88 nicely weighted keys and basic other sounds? Or should I spend $900 on a Korg Triton LE61 and have more sounds, knobs, and fx but only 61 nonweighted keys.
Sven Golly
The Triton (or another similar ROMpler, like a Motif Classic, or FantomXa or S). Cheers, SG
phatmann
The Casio has a decent piano and a decent Wurly and great action. If have one. If you want great sounds, you need another board. I use the PX-310 with the Nord Electro 2 61-key. It's a nice, versatile combo for vintage sounds.
ManInTheBox
I'd go with the Previa, then later as time/money allows, I'd add a FantomXR/MotifES rack, and a VsynthXT.
