Super 8 Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 ewwwww! Freaky! One has to wonder what sort of methods disable these chips, and how one might use the same technology to jam up the system -counter measures!!! Thie truely is the 'information age'! "we want information; INFORMATION; INFORMATION"! "You won't get it!" "By hook or by crook, we will..." Super 8 Hear my stuff here
Rog Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 Project Mayhem looks more and more like a good idea. "That's what the internet is for. Slandering others anonymously." - Banky Edwards.
phaeton Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 imagine, walking into a store or office, and having all these alarms going off, and a booming electronic voice that announces you've been wearing the same pair of underwear for 3 days... Dr. Seuss: The Original White Rapper . WWND?
Kendrix Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 I'll bet the Jeebus and Wewus are behind all this somehow. Check out some tunes here: http://www.garageband.com/artist/KenFava
whitefang Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 I wouldn't worry. The way my wife and her five sisters constantly trade clothes, and the frequency at which they do so, this idea would wreak havoc and be dropped to save Big Brother's sanity. Whitefang I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left!
Salyphus Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Well, I would never intentionally buy any products that utilise this technology, would any of you? Then again, I would also never intentionally buy food which has been geneteically modified, and neither would lots of other people, which is why the FDA is allowing the food industry to withold this information from consumers. You can't win. :(
whitefang Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Y'know, Sal, someone would call you some kind of conspiracy nut, but you got a point as far as I'm concerned. Think about it... There's been McDonald's, KFC's, Burger King's, Burger Chef's, Pizza joints and other fast food dives around for more than 40 years now. Yet, doesn't it seem THEY are getting the blame for the American obesity problem that's cropped up in only the last 10-15 years? Yet there's been no discerable increase per ratio of consumption of these fast food products. Are the cattle and chickens raised for this market subject to the same breeding techniques as they were during the fast-food industries onset? Or is something being done to increase the amount of meat yeilded per head of cattle or chicken? And what effect will it have on those who eat this meat? Obesity? Behavior modification?(ever notice a change in this as well?) Something to think about, Sal. Way to go... Whitefang I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left!
Salyphus Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 I hear ya. Thing is, people like to see things in black and white becuase it's easier. And there are plenty of stupid, kooky, and pointless conspiracy theories out there -- the moon landing one is a case in point, I mean, who really cares, it doesn't affect my life. I'm definitely not a consipiracy nut (IMHO ;) ) though you're right, I have been called one on this forum from time to time. Anyway, a big contributor to the obesity problem in this country is HYDROGENATED OILS. Do some research and you'll see that these are very very bad for you, much worse than lard in fact, and in the past 10-15 years they have become ubiquitous in the US. Another problem is overconsumption of carbohdydrates, which is really just sugar, overconsumption in general, and of course, lack of exercise.
