rossi46
After looking round this last month or two I have come to the conclusion that my finances can't stretch to a s90 (which is what I wanted) I needed a good 88 note piano action synth, which had good piano sounds and other sounds to replace my P60. Which brought me on to the alternatives. People on this forum have said the s08's piano sound is suspect. Does anyone know if my P60 sounds any different to the s08's piano sound or is it the same smaple/soundset?(as I quite like my P60 piano sound) And also is the s80's piano sound the same as the s08? Unfortunatly I haven't been able to demo them as they are no longer in the shops and only appear on ebay. So any info would be much appreciated. Also any alternatives new or old would be interesting to hear about, which fit my bill. 88 weighted keys Good piano sound Plus a wide range of other sounds (organs, strings and synthy stuff) Cheers in advance. daBowsa
rossi, here\'s a link to a discussion that talked me out of the S80 and into an S90. I also consider an RD600 and P120 along the way. I still think an S80 is a good buy, but now that the S90 ES is out, you can get an regular S90 here in the states new for $1300 - a great deal!
