miroslav
Well...it might be JUST a rumor, or even a hoax, but I just read on the TASCAM BBS that "there is a blurb" on "some website"(???) about TASCAM revealing at NAMM that they were planning to re-release a whole bunch of their old "vintage" analog open reel decks and mixers. Something about seeing so much "analog lust/activity on e-Bay and other online auctions...made TASCAM realize that there might still be a serious market... Anybody got the *reel* poop on this...this...I'll call it rumor...? If it is true...any opinions/thoughts? I just read through the "Press Releases I'd Like to See at NAMM" thread here on Craig's forum...and almost ALL the posts are tallkin' DIGITAL!!! So...would you all change your minds if there was some kind of..."analog revolution"? What if it IS true and other manufacturers follow...? AGAIN...could someone that is/was at NAMM or "Jeff the TASACM guy" please verify this. miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important." miroslav
OK guys...KILL THIS THREAD. I just found out that the "funny man" who originally posted the "rumor" on the TASCAM BBS was just bored, and it is a hoax... I told him that it sure seemed a bit unrealistic if it WAS true... I was right, but boy...sure would have been intersting if it WAS true...hehehe. not coaster MODERATOR
Some of my best memories are with my Teac 3340 and Tascam 688. That's before I read all these forums and realized I "needed" so many other things to make good music! Ignorance was bliss
