Geoff Grace
Where can we Mac users go to legally download a song when the iTunes Music Store doesn't have what we're looking for? (Tower Records and Wal-Mart, for example, are PC only.) Thanks. Jeff D.
http://www.audiolunchbox.com/ It's mostly indie stuff, but the store is awesome, runs on Mac (Safari) , and there are some well known artists available.

evilredhed
Heh. A Mac _is_ a PC. Come on... Anyway, I use Acquisition. I like the inteface because the search feature reminds me of spotlight. Kinda cool I guess. losers go home and cry. winners go home and nail the prom queen. best band in the world

While Acquisition looks like a well-designed file-sharing application, I'm actually looking for an alternate Mac vendor that's roughly equivalent to the iTunes Music Store. (I guess I could have been clearer about that!) Thank you all for your replies. Are there any other options? uplink3r
I'd say just try searching google for something like "download Led Zepplin IV" and hopefully you won't get one of those: FREE* MP3s!!! *details apply kind of offers. Best of luck! P.S. What do you mean by Mac alternative? Do you want an actual application? Because I don't think you will find one...

Because I don't think you will find one... uplink3r, I'm not looking for another application. iTunes suits my needs just fine. What I'm looking for is another store that sells downloads to Mac customers. While I'm glad to be informed about the indie online music stores mentioned above, I'd also like to have some major label options that are as exhaustive as those offered by the iTunes Music Store. Tower Records would have been ideal, if only they had included Mac platform support as well as PC.
