Jeff Klopmeyer Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Okay, this is less of a spam than an invite for any SSS forum members who happen to be attending NAMM, but it's still spam. Be forewarned. If you'd like to get a free TASCAM "World Tour 2003" t-shirt that I personally designed, and you're going to NAMM, and you were going to stop by the TASCAM booth to say hi to me anyway... ...all you have to do is try our fun new product at the show. No, I'm not going to tell you about the product. That would definitely be spam. But you probably can't really use it unless you play some guitar. Oh, and it's red and shiny. Me likee red shiny things. But that's all I'm saying. That...and I'm gonna make you get up and play on a little stage before you get your t-shirt. Since, after all, what fun it is to give away t-shirts if I can't point and laugh at people? :) END OF SPAM. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
miroslav Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Well...what about those of us poor, unlucky folks...whor won;t make it to NAMM... ...how can WE get a TASCAM World Tour 2003 t-shirt that you personally designed...??? Remember...it's just more free advertising for TASCAM every time one of us wears it...!!! :D miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important."

Why didn't you tell your buddies about it? Why? Why?". So...like I said...if you happen to be going, stop by. If not, I probably won't have a single shirt left over afterward, so that's...that. Thanks for putting up with my spammage. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Valkyrie Sound Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Well.... I don't play guitar... but I will be at NAMM... What else can a girl do for a shirt? :D ;) Where's my baby-doll t-shirt with your design O Great White Weasel?
What else can a girl do for a shirt?
Um...well, you can come by as you do every year and tell any people walking by that the US-224 is purple because you wanted it to be purple. I guess that's good for a t-shirt, since I won't have any extra trombones laying around for you to play through the new...thing. Shiny red thing.
Where's my baby-doll t-shirt with your design O Great White Weasel?
I am a great believer in equality of the genders, friend Valky. Jeff Klopmeyer Posted January 10, 2003 Author Posted January 10, 2003
Originally posted by ChristopherKemp: You need testers, don't ya?? :D
Been there, done that. Which brings up a cool little tidbit of news: we won't be introducing anything at trade shows like NAMM that won't be available at stores within 30 days of the show. Death to vaporware! So, the shiny red box is all tested, packaging is done, manual is done, and within a couple weeks will be on a big boat heading east across the Pacific. What more manufacturers have to realize is that there's no law that says if you don't show something at Winter NAMM, it can't be successfuully introduced at some other point during the year. We have new products that'll come out in March, April, June and July (and beyond) that I'm sure will do fine despite the lack of a splashy trade show rollout in January. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon

Wewus432 Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Hey Jeff, you feeling any better? I'd like to exhange my T-shirt for an SX-1 if that's OK. Have fun at NAMM, I went to NAMM about ten years ago when I was selling Piano Disc crap. What a circus.
Jeff Klopmeyer Posted January 10, 2003 Author Posted January 10, 2003
Originally posted by TheWewus: Hey Jeff, you feeling any better?
Yes, Wewus, and thanks for asking. Still a little sniffly (and stressed out of my mind getting ready for the show), but the cold didn't progress nearly to the level that many of my pals' viruses did. It seems that as long as I was going to get sick, I did it at the right time...as opposed to being ill throughout the show, which is a nightmare I've lived through before and pray that I won't again. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Gtoledo3 Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Jeff, You guys should make a rackmount cassette tape unit that is mono, utilizes all of the tape, and is designed with seperate record and play heads. You could use it just for getting that "classic portastudio sound." One wouldn't use it for recording, just passing signal. So then, when no one buys it, I could get one cheap.
