DVD/SACD/HDCD techie question

Assuming that drives can physically access the data on DVD-A and/or SACD how come I can't find any software to play the music? I understand that DVD-A players only provide analogue outputs to combat piracy  so why hasn't someone with a DVD-ROM in their computer written software so I can play the data thru a 192/24 soundcard?

The only ways to play DVD-A on a computer that I can find (and I've been looking) are: www.soundblaster.com, the Soundblaster Audigy2 Platinum EX. That's if you want a Soundblaster product in your DAW. MLP encoders such as Minnetonka SurCode MLP at US$3495.00 will play it back in software. I believe Sony would discourage any attempt at playing an SACD in a computer, but some enterprising young programmer must be working on this as we speak.

Software should handle the playback and (for SACD) conversion from 1 bit to 24 bit. I hope some talented hacker fucks Sony off and does this :) I will not invest in a closed format.
