EXAGON Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 There are too many ignorant people, faith is faith, but science is science. By cloning yourself you don't add 1 millisecond to your life, you just generate a new human person, which could be treated as a twin of the cloned person Features Are Not An Opinion. BP3 Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 A clone of this bastard? The extra methane alone would cause the ice caps to melt.
Wewus432 Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 You can't just clone yourself. When the clone reaches maturity you have to transplant your brain and cosciousness into it's body.
EXAGON Posted January 7, 2003 Author Posted January 7, 2003 It's simpler. When you clone yourself, you just generate (like when you fu*k) another son of a bit*h like you, maybe, with the same stupid face and bastard like you, but IT'S NOT YOU, it's someone else, so you won't become eternal, idio* Features Are Not An Opinion. fantasticsound Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 The thing is, according to media coverage after the first sheep was cloned, a clone made from genetic material of an adult is only expected to live about the same number of years as the original will survive. Put simply; I'm 35 If I'm cloned and the duplicate me is born right now, we both would expect to live approx. another 40 or 45 years. I would be 75+ years old when I die from old age, but my clone would die at the not-so-ripe-old-age of 40 or so, also of an old age disease or cellular degradation! Has there been any advances in cloning to "fix" this problem? Do we really want to cross that bridge, anyway? It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
Tedster Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 But think of the jams you could have with other musicians who think more or less the same way you do. Of course, that would have to be established. Teach keys to clone 1, drums to clone 2, bass to clone 3, etc. God, we'd suck. :D "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
Rim Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 Sir Paul cloned himself a bunch of times for the "Coming Up" video. People think it's some kind of special effect but it ain't. I would guess the trickier part is taking those clones through a time machine so they are not only duplicates of him but duplicates of him from different periods in his life. That should've been MTV's #1 music video! aka riffing Double Post music: Strip Down http://rimspeed.com http://loadedtheband.com

Well that'll be perfect, then! The clones can toil in the mines and other dangerous work until their bodies start to give out. Then we can extract whatever organs from them that we 'Normals' might need, and simply grind the rest up to serve to the other clones -thereby cutting feed costs. Hmmmm, yes... The 'plan' is coming to fruition... Super 8 Hear my stuff here
EXAGON Posted January 8, 2003 Author Posted January 8, 2003 "To clone " is a semantic error. You just use a cell which is not a spermatozoi to generate a son. Your clone is just your son, but instead of having a DNA from 2 parents, he has DNA from 1 parent, but it's just like a son or a brother, but ill Features Are Not An Opinion. A clone is NOT your son or daughter. You mentioned semantics. A son or daughter (human, of course!) is defined as the product of the fertilization of an egg by a sperm, the combination of two sets of genetic material. A clone is NOT a child, but rather a copy of 1 person's genetic material. Not at all the same thing. Clone Blue and you get.. Blue. Clone Yellow and you get.. Yellow. Combine Blue and Yellow and the result is.. Green ;) It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
