waveyl Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 would anyone have schematics for any kind of a mic pre-amp by any chance? i really want to build one. i've already built a cable tester, and i want to try my luck at a pre-amp. it would certainly fit the budget also. thanx. lavi.

waveyl Posted January 6, 2003 Author Posted January 6, 2003 hey people thanx for all the responses. chaz, i'm more into bulding the pre-amp just to challenge myself, see if it will work, so i don't mind building an average one. I know you can build a pretty good quality pre-amp with costs under $15. lavi

It sounded okay, very similar to the little ART deals to my ear but easier to overdrive with not so pleasing results. So not a lot of headroom to speak of. The mic pre might be better in that respect as it's got a totally different front end (just to be balanced). Does anyone know what's up with PAIA? Haven't been able to access their website for a week at least. -David http://www.garageband.com/artist/MichaelangelosMuse
