Wewus432 Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 You poor pitiful bastard. I just hope you make it through the night without offing yourself.
Gtoledo3 Posted January 1, 2003 Author Posted January 1, 2003 I may end up eatin nachos. Nacho-cide. Want mix/tracking feedback? Checkout "The Fade"- www.grand-designs.cc/mmforum/index.php The soon-to-be home of the "12 Bar-Blues Project"
Wewus432 Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Don't drink beer and eat nachos at the same time, it causes some strange chemical reaction.

Wewus432 Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 There have been no test on that, but we know from coaster's example, what beer and nachos will do to you.
Gtoledo3 Posted January 1, 2003 Author Posted January 1, 2003 I may end up being a guinea pig. For sure I'm going to find out what happens with beer and oriental cracker covered nut mix. Dak Lander Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 No, that's spam n' beer. You eat the spam, cooked. It's full of salt which makes you thirsty. (the cooking brings out the salt) You then need to drink a beer. Continue until you collapse, bloated, on the floor. You then crawl to your bed, climb up the side & flop on in, hoping the added weight won't overload the thing & you end up on the floor anyway. That brings to mind the  Our Joint "When you come slam bang up against trouble, it never looks half as bad if you face up to it." The Duke...

henrysb3 Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 I'm bummed because I've had some bug for the last four days that my wife is apparantly contracting. I'm just starting to feel better. My musician friends who aren't gigging are having a jam party across town, but I think we'll be staying here. GT3, your screen name evolved like mine? Henry S. Blake, III I only wish I had a B3, though the thought didn't come to me until someone pointed it out. My most memorable New Year's Eve was 1972 at the Allman Bros. concert in New Orleans. Some of the cuts for the Fillmore album came from that performance. That town needs little excuse to party, and it was rockin' that night. Salut, I raise my glass. [whine] I'm at home by myself tonight too. I have no boyfriend, my bandmates are out of town visiting their folks for the holidays, and my roommate has a gig. AND I'm having car problems so can't go anywhere. At least I have a cute kitty in my lap. I'm just going to stay home and write emails and eat Rice A Roni and pout. [/whine]
Dwarf Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 I'm sitting at home watching Highlander episodes from the first season on DVD and drinking good scotch. Slainte! -- Rob I have the mind of a criminal genius.....I keep it in the freezer next to mother.

fantasticsound Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Home with the wife and kid. They'll both be asleep before 10pm. :) I'm major-ly bummed because the band I toured the Persian Gulf as sound engineer accepted another tour right now, and took the engineer who accompanied them on two other previous tours. Although I'd miss my family a lot, I still wish I could return to that area with a band. :( I am blessed to not be working a New Year's Gig for one of the first times in 6 or 7 years. Gtoledo3 Posted January 1, 2003 Author Posted January 1, 2003 Lee, who was Wewus talking to about the "RickenBacker" endorsement? Both of us? I want a "GT" endorsement, damnit! Get with it, Wewus. joegerardi Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Yup... Another one here without a life. (whimper) :D Not really though. I had knee surgery the day before Thanksgiving. The damage was a little more than Arthroscopy could handle, so it's still 40% crippled, and I have a little trouble with the clutch. If I sit more that 20 minutes, or stand more than 10, it starts to throb, so I'm taking it easy at home watching couple of DVDs and then I'm gonna loop some more samples from my Fairlight IIx CD in my K2000RVP. Come to think of it, I really don't have a life! But a Happy New Year to you all. ..Joe Setup: Korg Kronos 61, Roland XV-88, Korg Triton-Rack, Motif-Rack, Korg N1r, Alesis QSR, Roland M-GS64 Yamaha KX-88, KX76, Roland Super-JX, E-Mu Longboard 61, Kawai K1II, Kawai K4.

Slainte! -- Rob
Thanks for reminding me. I usually have some Glen Morangie on New Year's Eve and a few shots of Drambuie. My favourite scotch is Glen Morangie (because it's distilled closest to my family's homes). Years later I noticed it's the brand requested by Macleod at the New York bar in the original movie. Just coincidence. Well I feel for the lonely hearts tonight. Lee, try not to give in and take advantage of yourself :D (Tom Waits has an old bit about that but I can't remember it all. Something about going out alone, getting drunk and walking himself home to the gate of his house, etc.) I'm used to being alone but rarely lonely to the point I think I must prefer it. So I'm OK. Walk the dogs, watch a movie or two. Maybe go nuts after midnight with the stereo and crank it. Happy New Year from the Great White North  And make your own success in 2003. It's OK to tempt fate. Just don't drop your drawers and moon her.
not Cereal Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 HEY! whats all this beer and nachos backtalkin? i'd make nachos tonight, except i am out of the basic elements of food. i have one cookie left in case i get the munchies tonight. that and a can of chicken noodle. thats about it, hubbards cupboards are bare. DO have some beer though, so a good drunking might be in order. i'll let ya know.
Sylver Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 Well, I'm homebound with the wife and kinder. Nobody wanted to babysit NYE this year. I wonder if anyone will make it to midnight. We just went out for Mexican food(Yeah, I know, but it's the holidays) and are about to watch Lilo and Stich on DVD. Yeah! :thu: I really don't know what to put here.

I'd never heard of Glenmorangie until Connor ordered it in that bar. I searched it out and it quickly became one of my preferred scotches. Then they released the specialty versions aged in different casks. Ummm... -- Rob I have the mind of a criminal genius.....I keep it in the freezer next to mother.
Nawor Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 I'm thinking of my God Daughter and her mum. Her ex was supposed to visit her on New Years Eve and he better have showed up... before mid-nite! He generally doesn't front when he says he's going to, or turns up like six hours later usually drunk, hung over or stoned. He didn't even give his baby daughter a fuckin' Christmas present! .... ASSHOLE!!!!!   "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!

realtrance Posted January 1, 2003 Posted January 1, 2003 I embrace... SOLITUDE!! Yes, my family's here, and I'm happy to be around them, but my whole life, I've never had... no, not enough money... no, not enough sex... no, not enough toys... no, not enough good food...... enough solitude!! Solitude is wonderful. The peace. The quiet. A long, unperturbed walk, at night, deep into the woods. Or along the sea shore. No fear of attack or disturbance. That's my ideal New Year's Eve. Well, today I started out with deep rumbles and terrible cramps. Thought it was The End. Felt like one of the characters in The Alien, except mine was lodged 12 centimeters south of the usual location. Haven't given birth yet. Scared the little sucker tonight, though, by downing in quick succession a bunch of pancakes, a bunch of Premium saltines, three sweet Vlasic pickles and a full glass of Cranberry Cocktail. Kind of homeopathic medicine. Or maybe just pathological medicine. Or just looniness. I feel a great disturbance in the force. I hope I survive. Must... crawl... to.... liquor... cabinet...... agh... rt
