GY
My opinion. Kevin Spacey's surprize performance of "Mind Games" was the best effort. Stone Temple Pilots version of "Revolution" was very good. Cyndi's "Strawberry Fields" was interesting. The rest sucked. GY
Mark Zeger
Sean Lennon's performances gave me chills, especially "Julia". Also with Rufus Wainwright and Moby, "Across the Universe" and "This Boy" were outstanding. Kevin Spacey did turn in a surprisingly good performance. The balance of the evening was a musical waste. Memo to Craig David: What the hell were you thinking, mixing in some Puffy with "Come Together"? I expected better performances out of Lou Reed and Dave Matthews. As these TNT tributes go, the ones for Burt Bacharach, Joni Mitchell, and (especially) Brian Wilson were far better.
Frank Frombach
Moby especially sucked. Doesnt he realize that the bass part actually is a part and not just an octave lower following the main melody? As he started singing it ruined the song. Otherwise it was very good, Cyndi Lauper surprised me. Oh did I mention that Moby sucked?
