Okay, so I spent most of '04s pocket money in re-acquiring CD versions of the ~400 LPs that I had. In essence, I lived a retrospective life in '04 (mostly mid-70s through mid-80's).

Now, I am looking to get out of the house.

:)

Any recommendations out there for recent CDs to pick up?

Happy New Year and Regards to All!!

Scott

Not sure what you're into, but some of my favourite releases of '04:

Bjork - Medulla

Brad Mehldau - Anything Goes, Live In Tokyo: Solo Piano

Bill Frisell - Unspeakable

Ben Harper/Blind Boys of Alabama - There Will Be A Light

Joel Miller - Mandala (you may have to order it direct from Effendi Records - great Montreal tenor saxophonist/composer with Kurt Rosenwinkel on guitar)

Dave Douglas - Strange Liberation

Medeski Martin & Wood - End of the World Party (Just In Case)

Wilco - A Ghost Is Born (check out their previous one, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, as well)

The Dears - No Cities Left (it's been out for a while here in Canada, but it was only just released in the States)
