jay da cop
I used to use a B3 sample that I loaded into my K2000. Now I use B4. It's probably not what Steve Walsh used but it works for me. Keyboard magazine did an interview with him maybe 1 1/2 years ago as I recall - right about the time he was releasing a new solo project. There was a picture of him at his set-up. It was interesting. Maybe he or Kansas has a website you could browse. Jay
mate stubb
I wouldn't call a CX-3 "humble" (unless you are talking about the 1980's version) - it's a fine clone. Try a fairly full organ sound like 888666888 with C-3 and nice overdrive. Then learn the licks and you're there. Moe ---
jay da cop
Even the 80's version of the CX3 was cool. I know a guy that had one ripped apart and MIDIed and rackmounted. Talk about portable!! And the sound, aahhh!!! It was that and an MKS80. End of story. That was too cool. He had a Lync strap-on controller. Jay
opp
I meant humble compared to the real baby. You're right the CX3 is a great clone. It seems like you can coax almost any sound out of it.From a gentle whistle to a big howling rock machine. coyote
The original was played on a spinet thru a Leslie. I don't remember whether it was an L or M series. I used to think I was Libertarian. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football.
