zeronyne
...off the Voltage and Current (mA) of an Alesis P3 adaptor for me? And is it AC or DC? Those P3's are highway robbery, especially since I need seven of them. Thanks. "For instance" is not proof.
Hammodel AV
According to the searches in Google that I did, it is 9V AC, 0.78A for the Alesis P3 (you have to do the math for the milliamperes). Depending on what unit you are matching it with, I would think that 500ma+ is required. Hammond T-582A, Casio WK6600, Behringer D
r33k
Well, if the supply is rated at 780mA, I wouldn't pick a supply that was lower than that. That is to say, 500mA would be too small, but 1A would be fine. r33k
zeronyne
But AC! Damn. Those are impossible to find. Thanks much. "For instance" is not proof.
r33k
Exactly, which is why they do it, I'm sure. I powered my MMT-8 with a DC supply for years and it liked it just fine, which is not too surprising if you think about it... Feed DC into a full-wave rectifier circuit and what do you get? The same thing you'd get if you fed in AC! A-ha! r33k
