Tedster Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 Auf Deutsch...the "eu" is pronounced "oy". Neumann (Noyman) is a German company. "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
Bunny Knutson Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 So, do German punk-ska bands go around yelling "Eu! Eu! Eu!"??? :freak: https://bunny.bandcamp.com/ https://theystolemycrayon.bandcamp.com/

realtrance Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 The Newman mic has a cardinal pattern; the Neumann mic has a cardioid pattern. If I'm not mistaken. rt
miroslav Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 Staying with the original thread theme... ...here's another one. Is Nuendo pronounced New-en-dough or Noy-dough? Once when I called Steinberg to ask a question...the guy at the other end pronounced it as Noy-dough...but everyone else I've heard, use New-en-dough. Since this is also a German company...it would stand to reason that it is Noy-dough. Anyone got the definitive answer? Also...what the hell does it stand for (Neundo)...??? miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important."

miroslav Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 [quote]Originally posted by Sylver Bleeds Green: ...So how do they pronounce "euro". miroslav Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 So...how about Nuendo (New-en-dough or Noy-dough)... ...it's realy bugged me for some time now, but no one seems to know for sure? It's an itch I can't scratch! :D miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important."

I would think new-EN-do is the correct pronunciation. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd

not Cereal Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 thast funny. for ever i have always read "Nuendo" as N U END O like innuendo en you end o thats the first thing i thought and its stuck. new endo seems weird. noyndo makes noy sense. ?yo no soy noyndo?
Bunny Knutson Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 I'm with Coaster on this one. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I've always said it. en - you - en - do. It wouldn't be "noyndo" because it's u-e, not e-u. Who knoys? :D https://bunny.bandcamp.com/ https://theystolemycrayon.bandcamp.com/

You would think that they would have at least made it n-uendo, if they wanted that pronunciation. But then their product would sound like an Italian suppository. It may be time for a poll.
