berzerk
I recently bought a used sy85 that needed to reset with factory sounds. I contacted yamaha support and they sent me a 3.5 floppy disk with sy85 factory set. My problem is when I try to load data from floppy I keep getting error message "disk not ready". Whats wrong? Do I have a bad floppy drive? I did all the steps right, from holding shift, store, and exit to clear memory banks. then insertting card, hitting utility, then sub mode disk. This takes me right up to where the floppy is supposed to be read and downloaded. But nothing except error message. By the way the little red led on floppy drive is always on. Does this mean the floppy is bad? I'm lost. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

RudyS
have you tried to use another floppy, with patches on it? maybe the disk drive is broken. Rudy
