So...what did Audio Santa bring to you?

Let's hear about any new audio toys you folks got for XMAS. Me...no one ever gives me any audio toys for XMAS... ...but that's because I tell them not to, since they won't know what I really want/need anyway. I prefer to buy 'em for myself. As an audio XMAS gift to myslef...I will be picking up Nuendo (90% sure) in the very near future. Besides that, I grabbed a few studio odds-n-ends... ...but I I did most of my major audio shopping a few months ago...and I am happily enjoying it all this XMAS!!! Anyone get anything really cool (audio related)...or maybe will be getting soon...even the next month or so is close enough to XMAS to still count! :D

I got a business opportunity that will pay for the studio! I was given Fates Warning's "Night on Broken", Brandford Marsalis' Quartet's "Footsteps of Our Fathers", Miles Davis' "Porgy and Bess" and a very cool jazz/blues sampler. Hours of listening enjoyment!
...think funky thoughts... :freak:

I got a Miles Davis album, not the one I wanted, but it'll work. I also got a Jim Dunlop Crybaby wah. It's not a bass wah, but it'll work. Definitely has a sound of it's own. I'm working on Shaft. I got some JD guitar cleaner, too. That's about it, audio ways.

Santa was very good to me this Christmas. I got v5 software for my d8b. It looks fantastic. I can't wait to use it. New EQ and HUI control!! He also brought my son a new Strat and a PODxt. But the best thing was a new Grandson. 8lbs 10 oz. Man, do I love this little guy. Merry Christmas everyone! Linwood

Audio santa (me), brought me that sytek 4 channel preamp a few weeks ago. I think he's gonna bring me a new mic later... or at least my girlfriend is- either way, I'm not picky.

Senor Sant (me) left a Soundcraft Spirit M12 mixer at my doorstep 2 days early. I won't complain though, I heard he used his 10% off coupon and got a sweet deal at Sweetwater. :thu:

My family gave me a strat shaped clock with the "Abbey Road" cover picture in the body. I used some Christmas $ in an incredible deal on a small used PA that I plan to use for keyboards and acoustic guitar. "And so happy Christmas For one and for all..." I miss John, especially this time of year. Got a little twinge just looking at that Abbey Road pic. namaste Henry

Audio Santa didn't bring me jack squat! I guess that's probably because I live in a van down by the river...

Well I bought myself (due to Santa being so busy) 2 x Studio Projects C3's and a TC Electronics M-One XL. :) The RNP will simply have to wait for the new year! ;)

Santa fucking hates me. That's cause I'm Jewish. Luckily, my people control the media, so that's enough of a present for me. Seriously, I bought myself a lil' Boss sampler, and I haven't stopped playing with it yet.

I didn't get anything per se...but I did give my daughter a little Tascam MF-P01 four track. That thing is cool! No brainer operation...and I can borrow it for an occasional sketch pad to outline some ideas.

I got a George Foreman Grill. Seriously. I thought that they were a joke but there it was... What the hell is that all about? I don't cook meat around the house much so what am I going to do with it? I thought of seeing if it would make a nice foot warmer and perhaps it will come in handy at some point but c'mon! A George Foreman Grill?!?!? Damn. - DJDM

Headed over to the GC in Sylver's neighborhood today armed with a $50 gift certificate from the wife. Came home with an Oktava MC012. Is there anything more thrilling than driving home with a new piece of gear in tow? :thu: bob P.S. you can do a bang-up job on some boneless chicken breasts with that George Forman grill

How about a big ol' portabello Mushroom burger with some blue cheese melted on top? Yum. How about grilled zuchinni and carmelized onions? Yum, yum. The Forman grill is great for all kinds of stuff. Does a nice job on fish too.
