miroslav Posted December 25, 2002 Posted December 25, 2002 Let's hear about any new audio toys you folks got for XMAS. Me...no one ever gives me any audio toys for XMAS... ...but that's because I tell them not to, since they won't know what I really want/need anyway. I prefer to buy 'em for myself. As an audio XMAS gift to myslef...I will be picking up Nuendo (90% sure) in the very near future. Besides that, I grabbed a few studio odds-n-ends... ...but I I did most of my major audio shopping a few months ago...and I am happily enjoying it all this XMAS!!! Anyone get anything really cool (audio related)...or maybe will be getting soon...even the next month or so is close enough to XMAS to still count! :D miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important."

MattC Posted December 25, 2002 Posted December 25, 2002 I got a business opportunity that will pay for the studio! I was given Fates Warning's "Night on Broken", Brandford Marsalis' Quartet's "Footsteps of Our Fathers", Miles Davis' "Porgy and Bess" and a very cool jazz/blues sampler. Hours of listening enjoyment! ...think funky thoughts...
patrick_dont_fret Posted December 25, 2002 Posted December 25, 2002 I got a Miles Davis album, not the one I wanted, but it'll work. I also got a Jim Dunlop Crybaby wah. It's not a bass wah, but it'll work. Definitely has a sound of it's own. I'm working on Shaft. I got some JD guitar cleaner, too. That's about it, audio ways.

The Bear Jew Posted December 26, 2002 Posted December 26, 2002 Santa fucking hates me. That's cause I'm Jewish. Luckily, my people control the media, so that's enough of a present for me. Seriously, I bought myself a lil' Boss sampler, and I haven't stopped playing with it yet. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu

How about a big ol' portabello Mushroom burger with some blue cheese melted on top? Yum. How about grilled zuchinni and carmelized onions? Yum, yum. The Forman grill is great for all kinds of stuff. Does a nice job on fish too. I really don't know what to put here.
