Quarryking
Am looking at picking up a Motif 6 for my studio. I'm based in India and so there are some hurdles with regard to gear procurement. In terms of price there is a great difference subject to where you buy it from. - For e.g., the local dealer here in chennai (Madras) has quoted around US$ 2555 for the Motif 6. - On the gray market, that is without any bill it works out to US$ 2000.- And the same keyboard works out to round US$ 1500 on sites likes Sweetwater and Musiciansfriend.com And these guys offer free shipping as well. The hassle is if I were to buy from one of the above-mentioned sites, shipping it to India from the states would work real expensive. And then the Customs boys would definitely slap a duty of around US$ 400 on the keyboard. Have some projects in hand, but am facing a small situation here. Any ideas..?? mildbill
if you just need it for a few projects, maybe you could rent one?or borrow one?if you want it long-term, it sounds like even with shipping and duty tax, you'd still come out ahead buying one from the US and having it shipped.
