yannis D
Hi guys I'm about to buy Andromeda 2 VST. I want to use it mainly for live detuning on several notes in various songs, as the hardware wich gives those possibilities (GEM synths) is quite heavy to transport. The Native Instruments site says that the Abysynth 2 microtuning system is revolutionary. I would like to know if this applicaiton (microtuning use) is easy to handle in a live situation. So, if someone of you has allready played with this VST, any oppinion is welcomed Thnx and regards Yannis Be grateful for what you've got - a Nord, a laptop and two hands
Yoozer
On Absynth, making your own tunings or choose from several predefined ones, like Werckmeister and whatnot - more than I know of, that's for sure. Tuning itself is a fairly extensive process. If all you have to do is just redefine notes while still keeping the conventional octave stuff, that's peanutes. But you can redefine every note in Hz or in a ratio of a base key (every key has its number which you can change, too) so it's -really- out of this world. In terms of live use - well, it's easy to switch to another tuning, the selection is right there on the front panel, but to make your own within 4 minutes of live use - no, not that .
