Roland VK-8M Leslie control

Recommended Posts

I want to use my Ensoniq SD-1 to control my VK-8M Hammond module, and to use the left hand (sostenuto) pedal to switch Leslie effect fast/ slow speeds. Pressing the button on the unit or waving my hand over the D-Beam (which is disabled with red stage lighting, btw) isnt a suitable option in performance. Any suggestions?

I wondered that myself about that module, being interested in it myself (although can't afford anything right now).

You can't hook a pedal to the ensoniq, and then select which midi channel it controls?

I can't help you with your synth, but the Ensoniq MR76 takes up to 4 pedals: two per 1/4" jack. For each pedal, I can set what MIDI control it's attached to (via the "System" button, and scrolling to "MIDI Settings" or something like that).

Since the MR has it, the SD might. Good luck!

I wish I had one of those dual pedal units (sustain & sostenudo). Instead I use another unattached pedal. But frankly, I'd like two dual-pedal units! I'd put one unit on each side of the my expression pedal.
