zeronyne
Could someone tell me the difference between a K2500RS and a K2600RS? Thanks "For instance" is not proof.
Mark Zeger
100RS? The K2600s have KDFX standard and no Digitech effects. The Digitech effects in the K2500 can be a little noisy, so a K2600 sounds better than a K2500 with the optional KDFX installed. KDFX is SO nice. More recent K2600s have the piano daughterboard, Contemporary and Orchestral ROMs included. IMO, the only drawback with the early K2600s is that purple color scheme. marino
Even more important, the 2600 series includes Triple Modular Processing, or TMP, which is not available for the 2500. With TMP, you have additional VAST algorithms which allow for the equivalent of three 'regular' VAST channels in series, at the cost of polyphony. DLN
If you can, get the K2600 rather than the K2500. IMO, The extra features and the improved analog circuitry are definitely worth the extra money.
